1. Participation in Tips Game and Prize Competition The tips game and prize competition have been organised by Deutsche Welle, and are open to everyone. All co-players can place their tips in your selected tournament for as many match rounds as they wish. Tips placed will be assessed each matchday and the results will be added to an overall score kept throughout the duration of the tournament. In addition, players can create their own teams or join existing teams.
With the exception of Deutsche Welle staff and their relatives, all players are entered into the prize competition and have the chance to win a daily prize for best matchday tips or one of the overall prizes for the highest point score at the end of the whole tournament.

6. Determining the Winner Individual tip scores are crucial to the determination of the winner. Team scores are not relevant. The best player, based on individual scores, of each matchday will receive the matchday prize. In the event that more than one player has the same number of points, the winner will be decided by drawing lots. In addition, the overall best tournament player will receive a prize.
Further information on the number and type of prizes can be found at the prize descriptions. If there is more than one overall winner, the prize will go to the player with the highest number of matchday wins. If this is also equal, the winner will be decided by drawing lots. The prizes awarded cannot be changed or exchanged for cash.
